This blog is dedicated to music. Not just any music; we dedicate this blog to talking about indigenous music.



When we were assigned reading homework on music I was immediately interested and the following day, when Dr. Malea Powell, the professor for our class, invited Dr. Kimberli Lee in to speak to us about her research and the possibilities within the field of rhetoric and music that I had an *aha* moment.

I decided then and there that I wanted to, as part of my final project for the class, create a project that focused on music. After talking with Gabi, we decided to start this blog as a way to talk about indigenous music and make a space to talk about music--really talk about it. Not just the gossipy crap you can read or hear, but really talk about the music itself, tell stories, review things, talk about our lives--overall to share with one another.
